World War 2 Military Aviation E-Cards

I see nothing with a B24. My father was Sq Navigator for the 846Sq of the 489th BG, a group that flew B24's. He was killed July 24th, 1944 when the plane he was flying in suffered a direct hit from German anti-aircraft guns over St Lo in Normandy. Only one man escaped, the radio operator. B24's were heavy bombers, but that day the mission was not a bombing run, they were dropping supplies to all the allied troops for the battle to take the Cherbourg peninsula and St Lo. My father flew it because the navigator for that plane had been grounded by the flight surgeon and he was supposed to be training a new replacement navigator on the mission so my father went instead to train the new navigator. He was only 26 when he was killed, but he was the oldest navigator in the 846th. I was only a few months past my 1st birthday. The B24's deserve to be represented.
